New York State Department of Labor Adopts New York Paid Sick Leave Regulations and Proposes New York HERO Act Regulations
- Employers may allow employees to cash out unused paid sick leave at the end of the year, but must provide employee’s the opportunity to cash out or carryover the leave at the employee’s option
- Employers with workplace safety committees that are already in place that comply with the NYS’s Hero Law need not form new committees
- There are still many unanswered questions that remain regarding the NYS Paid Sick Leave Law
